Actress, Singer, and T.V. host, Kellie Kramer talks about the process of mounting one of her biggest life stories on stage in her self-written cabaret performance of All the Good Men Are Gay, wherein she shared the personal story of her nine-year marriage to a gay man, including what she knew, when she knew it, and how they tried to make it work.

Kellie Kramer likes whisky, cats, fried potatoes, and roadside attractions. When not dreaming of her days on a southern Indiana turkey farm, she is the host of the Emmy-nominated Iowa Outdoors on Iowa Public Television. Kramer recently debuted a new cabaret titled All the Good Men are Gay , sharing the story of her nine-year marriage to a gay man and exploring what it means to be in--and out--of a mixed-orientation marriage. Favorite Des Moines-area shows include Next to Normal (Diana), Mamma Mia! (Donna), Lizzie (Lizzie Borden), A Streetcar Named Desire (Blanche), The Last Five Years (Cathy), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Nurse Ratched), Bash: Latterday Plays, Medea Redux (Woman), [title of show] (Heidi), In the Next Room, or the vibrator play (Mrs. Daldry), The 39 Steps (Annabella/Pamela/Margaret), Urinetown: The Musical (Hope), and Angels in America, Parts 1 and 2 (Harper). Kramer is a two-time host of The Cloris Leachman Excellence in Theatre Arts Awards and a past adjudicator for the Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards.
